HRSB French Program Info
OPA has a Core French program for all students from grade 4-6, a Core French 7-9 program for English Program students, and a Late Immersion Program for grades 7-9 with a single entry point in grade 7. See this linked HRSB brochure for details.
Current Immersion StudentsLate Immersion students use French exclusively in 70-75% of their courses:
French Language Arts (5 hours per week) Social Studies (2.5 hours per week) Healthy Living (2 hours per week) Math (5 hours per week) Science (2.5 hours per week) The following courses are taught in English: English Language Arts Physical Education Instrumental Music (Band)/ Visual Arts Family Studies As part of their program, grade 7 Immersion students also attend a full Immersion overnight camp at Université Sainte-Anne in the spring. Prospective Immersion StudentsAre you, or is your child, a grade 6 student interested in entering the French Immersion program in the 2018-2019 school year?
